SKF Marine has been in the marine industry for more than 80 years, applying innovative thinking and expertise to critical machinery. With the incorporation of the Blohm + Voss Industries portfolio, including Simplex shaft components, the SKF Marine product range has been increased.

SKF Marine provides a wide portfolio of services and products, thereby supporting the vessel throughout its complete life cycle:

• Shaft line solutions such as Simplex seals and bearings

• Bearings and housing, including SKF Cooper split bearings

• Stabilizing systems and steering gear

• Couplings and bolts

• Condition monitoring and condition-based maintenance solutions

• Oil treatment systems (RecondOil)

• Maintenance solutions and special services, e.g. conversion and retrofit, alignment service, chocking and mounting

SKF Marine products are instrumental in the safe operation of vessels and protection of the environment – on all types of vessels from container ships and cruise liners to yachts and naval ships. Every product is backed up by capable and efficient services in either own or authorised service stations. These include 24/7 after-sales service, extensive stocking of spares, the provision of additional production capacities, technical advice as well as the possibility of underwater repairs.

In addition to the maritime industry, SKF Marine also develops, produces and supplies system solutions and components for the ocean energy sector and has taken part in many (EU-funded) flagship ocean energy projects.

Based in the port of Hamburg, Germany, the company has its own sales and service companies in China and Singapore. In addition, around 35 sales agents and service stations represent the company around the globe. SKF Marine generated a turnover of roughly 135 million euros in the business year 2024 with around 500 employees.
